Movable Wall Partitions come in many sizes and styles; however, they all have mechanical moving parts. As with most large wheel based products, regular maintenance is the key to safety and longevity.
LEGISLATION
There is a requirement that movable wall partitions and sliding folding partitions be serviced annually to conform with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management at Work Regulation of 1999.
Specific regulations within the acts required by law state that systems are regularly maintained, and in addition, suitable records are required to be kept on file.
Suitably qualified persons should only carry out service and maintenance to operable walls.
